Default AC Nerfs

I talked to my dealer yesteraday and got him to order a set of AC nerfs (not the pro-peg) for the Cannibal. I was wondering of anybody had a pic of of a Cannibal with them since I can't find any pics anywhere on the net. Thanks.

I was just looking at some of Alaska 400ex's pics. He has them. http://home.gci.net/~jbfrench/cannondale_speed.htm
I think they are the pro pegs. Hard to tell. I looked at jcv's pics and thought the AC's were flat. Alaska's are swept up. jcv- are yours pro pegs and sweep up? I don't think I've seen any of the std nerfs.

I've been debating which to get. The Graydon's just look sick. Too small and they don't use the frame hole- They're out! That basically leaves the AC's and moto's. I actually like the AC's more because they have a tube that runs straight out from the peg to the outer loop of the nerf- the dale's is flat stock. But, I was told the 'dales are heat treated- hence the dull gray finish. I can't find anyone to verify whether the AC's are or not. But the AC's ball burnished finish looks better than the 'dales. Here's what decides it for me. The heal guards that come with the AC's are hideous!! Nothing like the cool AC guards you can get for the EX. ATVAddiction has pics of the AC's. So I've decided. It's the 'dales for me. Now, let me get back to counting those pennies!

Graydon also makes their own version of a pro-peg with steel foot-pegs and the front cross tube DOES line up with the cross hole in the frame, FYI. I've got them on mine and work great. for a pic., check out my quad on the front page of: www.seatcover.com

Check out the pics in my sig I have the moto nerfs on mine, with a little sos pads and some mothers they look like crome. They do have a very slight sweep up towards the back but are not noticeable. When I ordered them I wanted the AC's but Kyle at R&S said you need to use a hammer to get them to fit right. I don't know if they fixed this but thats the reason I went with the moto ones.

I do have AC standard nerfs, not the pro pegs. They do kind of look swept up, but I think that is normal. I have a link to some of my pics in my signature.....going to add more as time permits.......JIM

We've gone round about the nerf discussion without answering your original question. And, I did find the pic you were looking for! It's of Smitty's Speed(not Smittee). He has the standard AC nerfs. A link is in his sig. Look in the "Smitty, is it DOA" thread.
