Pro rider or "B" rider?

knowsalot,
as a matter of fact it was 1997 at Loretta Lynns and 1999 at London Kentucky. I broke both ankles in 1998 at muddy creek. I did not race any from Nov. of 99 till May 2001. Loretta Lynns was the first national I raced in 2 years. I wrote a letter to the ama to run B because you can step down if you have not raced ama events for 1 year. I was just using Keith as an example. Do your research!

lobo250r,
Note the screen names here.
It makes my evening searches for questions addressed to me more difficult if posts from others with similar names keep coming up.
Maybe you missed it.

lobo250r,
No problem.
Since I frequent many of the different forums on this site, I sometimes just put my name in the search field to find posts that are either directed to me or topics having my name in them. Here lately, alot of people get the two "posers" mixed up and thinking it's me......which is easy by just glancing at who the posts are from.
By the way, Are you running the arenacross at Starkville this weekend??

lobo250r, i see your point. but you need to apply a little common sense. i have never raced in the nationals and i'm not a member of the ama or atva. there are no ama tracks close to me. if i was to ride in the nationals it would be in the b class. now, in the starkville ax, there will be two classes. amateur and pro class. which one should i ride in?? if i run the amateur it would surely be unfair to someone new to this sport to run against me, right? but by your words, i'm not a pro so i cain't race the pro class either. so unless joe byrd or doug gust show up, nobody will be in that class. not a very good crowd pleaser. i will run the local pro class and make it fair for the rest of the amateurs. i might not win the pro class but at least i will be in the same speed catagory as the rest of the riders. also, on the local outdoor tracks we have amateur and expert class (pays money). i run expert class there also. i'm not saying it's right, but it is atleast fair and i can live with that. if a b class rider races in the amateur class he will be a sand bagger. in a perfect world, every track would have a a,b, c class but most tracks have a small turn out for quads (5 to 10) and just put them together. i don't mean to offend anyone, but that's how i feel.
anyway, have you ever raced in the shelbyville, tn arena cross?

I understand the lack of competition, but the AMA rule is: Any rider that excepts a payout of any form in competition then that rider is considered an A level or Pro rider. I have a friend that got suspended for 1 year for that back in 1999. On the other hand, I have never been to th AX in Shelbyville. I like the outdoor tracks better than the tight AX tracks.
