2003 GNC Rule Changes
#1
Complete 2003 Supplemental Rules will be finalized and published soon.
The following are a few of the changes or additions to the GNC supplemental rules for 2003.
All classes remain the same except the woman's class. There are no cc changes. All current 250cc 2-stroke and 440cc 4-stroke limits remain unchanged.
The woman's class has been changed to 91cc - Open modified.
We will now offer a women's and women's novice class
The 50cc youth class will compete for National points. Equipment rules for this class are still being evaluated and should be released soon. We anticipate very minor changes from stock.
New Production classes for Pro and Amateur will be offered. The entry fee and payback for Pro Production will be lower than the 250/440 Pro Class.
Production Class:
91cc-450cc 4-Stroke, no overbore, OEM Frame, Stock engine cases. ATV OEM frames in the stock and production classes may have material added for strength. The changes shall not affect frame or suspension geometry. For an ATV to be legal of the production class, the stock frame and engine cases from the original ATV manufacturer of that make and model must be used.

markvette- I e-mailed Doug Morris and he rsponded with this:
We have one track & date to nail down on the MX series and two dates for the TT series. We might be able to post the schedule on the web site at the end of this week.
Thanks
Doug Morris "atvguy"
So I hope the schedule will be up by Friday. I will post it as soon as I find out.

I think the Pro Production class is a great idea.
It has been needed for the last 2 to 3 years.
Now, look for the current "Pro Class" to go into a downward spiral in the next 3 years and for the Production Class to eventually take the "prestige" from the Pro Class.
Way to go ATVA. Should have done it sooner though.

Have you heard anything about changes for 14-15 year old youth class.
I heard AMA has reccomended a new 200cc air cooled class for them. AMA verified that they had reccomended changes but would not go into details. They said it would be voted on 1st week of Nov. My son will be 14 next year and is too big for a 90

MOTOWN- Yes, there will be a Pro Production class and an Amateur A, B, and C Productioin class.
JayBR- I dont know forsure. It tried to be done before with the outcome always being no. I know it sucks but you can bet on it about 99% it will be no again this year. But all of the rules have not been posted yet so I really dont know forsure.
Here is a link to the ATVA web site incase anyone does not know:
