23 INCH FRONTS
#1
Has anyone run 23 inch fronts on their Dale? I was thinking about buying a pair of 23 inch razor 2's for some hare scrambles on the east coast. Also does anyone know if these will fit without any clearence problems? I have heard that 23 inch fronts do not turn well and therefore I would like some more info on how they handle and if they roll in the turns. Thanks

Ruthless,
I am running the 23" holeshot xct's with t-9 bead locks on the front and 22" holeshot xct's on the rear. I have no clearance problems, fronts turn great, but are heavier than stock a bit. A good thing for the hill climbs, you will also note the x-tra weight on jumps but it is not that bad. The rears are a bit aggressive but work good also, I am gearing down (larger rear sprocket) though and going with the blaze map on my cannibal. I ran them this past weekend at the last GNCC and they both wheels and tires did great.
They are a little much for mx-ing and I wouldn't use them for it. Even a local hare scramble that is not real knarly and muddy, they could / might be too much for also. If you are into knarly trail riding or GNCC type stuff then I would go with them.

I'm running the 23" t's too up front and 22" xct in the rear. No problems with clearance and no complaints. I'd run the 23" front with 22" rear if you plan on run in muddy knarly conditions for the extra ground clearance. If not rinding in these conditions go with 21" fronts and 20" rears. The lower you are to the ground the faster you can corner and better overall handling. For the 23" you want to lower the quad to reduce some of the 2 wheeling in corners. I'm haveing a small bit of this problem, but a good bit is because of the spring rateing on the front shock is to soft.
