Default Moto map rev limiter

Trying to get some input.

My Cannibal with the moto pipe and moto map hits the rev limiter, like all the time. I find myself short shifting. Does this seem to be what others are experiencing? The bike revs out so fast, sort of like a 2 stroke. It seems like the rev limiter should be higher.

Thanks for the input.

Like I said in the other post I had the same problem that's why I started changing gear ratios. The best for me turned out to be 15/42. But I still haven't tried it out on the trails due to injuries but the doc said after my therapy i'll be able to ride again, That should be about the middle of jan so I'll let everyone know then

I also have the 15/42 gear ratio and it does seem to help a little. I would like to know if the rev limiter can be raised any higher? Surely someone has tried it.

i have the 03'cannible with the motto map and full hmf exhaust. although i have not ridden the bike much, the few times i have ridden it,hitting the rev limiter was not a problem. (14/42 gears) i was actually shifting when i thought i was close to the rev limiter only to find out later that i was not even close. the rev limiter with the motto map is 11,600 rpm. the cannible limiter is set at 10,600. maybe you still have the cannible map by mistake. also, 11,600 rpms is a lot. a 250r two stroke will turn approximately 8000 to 8800 rpms. hope this helps

save your money, for $6500 you can hit 11,600 with a c-dale

Thanks for the input. I will be trying the new gearing over this next week. And no, I don't still have the cannibal map and there is a unbelievable difference between the way it was and the way it is, also we have the speed map with the Trinity pipe on the other one and it doesn't feel even close.
