bad day today. track owner changes his whole track, has big trophy's and special awards. i'm talking about fernwood mx. guess what 1 quad shows up to race. hey if we dont start supporting these tracks guys we wont have no place to race. ive pretty much made my ming up what we are going to do. im tired of spending money going to tracks and nobody showing up. when josh heals we will race the winter series then when spring gets here we will go to texas to race.i know most of you arent as serious about the racing as we are and thats ok but we want to be where there are gonna be quads and it just aint happening here. by the way will wants to know how many quads will be there next saturday at avondale. i told him i have no idea so its up to you guys, you know about the race.

didnt see ya'll around (I think I saw ya'lls dodge on the end of the pits towards entrance???), I didnt stay too long cuz there was only that one lone shee guy there (poor guy... thats gota suck), I left right before the first practice around 10 i think. VERY bad turnout!
I'll try and see if i can go watch the avondale race, Im serious about racing too Mark, Just cant yet (cuz of quad).
The new set-up looks decent, But I'd rather ride on the old one....
anyway, where is avondale?

The dealers must not be helping out. I am a little be confused over this one.

yea that was mine, we didnt have the moto, mrp broke his wrist on it friday at pactice and we have it sold. the new layout sucks. the woops are to long the finish line table top has to much peak. thats where mrp broke his wrist, that sucker throws you straight up in the air.the table top he put in to replace the double double you cant clear,you dont have a long enough run way.they took 3 people off in ambulances at fridays practice.

raptor, the tracks send out flyers but the shops help very little expecially when it comes to the quads. one problem is we have 8 tracks in 200 mile radius so some run the same weekends and you cant get the quads to race the same track. instead of 15 going to one track 3 will go here and 4 someplace else and then half the guys say they are coming and then dont show. i guess i came off pretty strong in my original post but it has really got to me. man we want to race but not against 2 others. we cant go to texas till school is out but we will definately be heading that way this spring.i keep hearing about 75to 100 quads at each race and i want to see that.

Thats sucks ya'll are leaving, But I can understand why. Racing is definatley bigger in texas, but arent there just a few tracks (I've seen some niiiiiice pics of some of them)?
Did many quad riders show up friday? Im thinking the rain scared them all away (why is everyone so scared of a lil rain???)

Sounds like to me the tracks would benefit by working together. They should try to put a series of races together and alternate tracks. That way they dont set up for a race and nobody shows up. They could do quads one weekend and then motorcycles the next. With so much competition locally If they dont work together I think you will see a lot of them close. Unless there are enough riders to support all of the tracks, which from what I understand there is not.

 

actually he broke it about 2 inches above the wrist. we will still race around here, just be a little more picky about where we race but may try and concentrate on texas when school is out. it will be a couple of weeks before the 03 is here and we are thinking about going to zero preload shocks on it.

the tracks are having a winter series starting jan.5. seven tracks, seven races in eight weeks. they have agreed to not race over each other during this series but it will be fair game afterwards. i have had 5 tracks say they would do a quad series but cant get enough riders to commit to it. these tracks have to make money and they cant do it with 15 quads showing up. we had an all quad race and 60 quads showed up. the track owner said he would do it every month so the next month 21 quads showed up. he said he lost money and done no more. ive tried everything i know to half way organize these guys and make the racing better for everybody but nothing seems to work. yes you have a few that want to be involved but most dont seem to want to. its kinda got to the point that if i cant acomplish anything with it i need to move on and concentrate on josh's racing. we have big plans and plan on racing all national events in 04. dont mean to ramble just pretty bummed out over the whole deal. later

Hey Mark went to Avondale on Fri and they had 11 quads there friday. Sat I had work so I didn't go ride anywhere and I know that Gonzalas raced last night, and they, for some strange reason have a big turn out there, but I don't know how many. Just got back from Avondale today and they had 8 today. I told everyone that next sat is a quad race at Avondale. I talked to Kurt, the owner, and he said that he will have pratice open that morning and arace at about 12:00. I told all those guys that if we get enough bikes we can split up classes and make it more competetive for everybody. But mike i don't know if he got his clutch, Scott has work but will be there sat cause he ordered nerfs today, Fast as hell Glen he talks a lot so I don't know. And I'm there for SURE. Hope some guys get it together.
