cannitor- i just did my tranny a month ago. Whilr that did suck, that is the only problem in 2.5 years. Always starts and runs. That tranny did **** me off. They fixed that for the 02's. You guys have more problems than that.

It's the truth. With the ugly rumors of Cannondale's demise i've been wondering what other quad I might buy. Fact is, there is nothing out there that compares and i can't imagine going back to a steel frame and carb. Long live the 'DALE!!!
BTW, mine had 260 hours when I took it apart for a fresh piston/sleeve cause it was smokin a little.
Even then I could still pull a piped Raptor in 100yds!

back to the subject at hand...
imo the most important thing about owning a cannondale is to have a competent ,trustworthy mechanic to help you dial the bike in
my guy is 2 hours away but id bet he knows the c's better than the people who built them
his assistance has been paramount and he has found, shown me ,and then corrected mistakes other mechanics had made
for example...a missing diode which fried my computer,an air filter installed upside down, missing bolts, overfilled transmissions...etc
...these are all prime examples of certified technicians who are cluless as to basic maintenence items...

Cannitor- 215 dollars for parts. went back with 01's Took the gears to machine and had a little work done on them, beefed up the shift forks a little. It gave zero indication that it was going. Fine, fine, fine, boom!!!LOL

I also have a Cannondale issue. Not the motor. I tagged a tree with my left front at about 50 MPH. The frame bent. Does this get qualified as a possible C'Dale frame issue? Or is it one of those stupid operator errors. I choose stupid operator error. LOL

I agree with Smitty. This is a state of the art high-performance ATV. It takes a little more maintenance.

Funny this topic came up. Let's talk about the Banshee's first inception. 2 Stroke twins, high performance = motor problems. Think about it.

trinity said one of the problems they were having was that bolts and screws inside the engine kept coming loose.
