Just make sure to not let your speed idle for extended periods of time. They like to be run fast and often!!!
Also, if you start the bike up, to show off to friends or just hear the sweet sound of the 440, make sure you let it warm up before you turn it off, this will ensure that you "burn off" any excess oil and gas in your cylinder (wouldn't want to start fouling spark plugs). This will also help keep the battery charged.

Was your key on by chance? That will surely drain the battery.

There is a tech bulletin on cannondale's website that covers some bikes. Some owners have had the frame rail rub right through a section of the battery, destroying it in the process. Then your bike won't start for sure!!!! Make sure you check this even if this doesn't end up being a problem. Batteries can get quite expensive.

Also, a lot of guys keep a trickle charger on the battery when they have it stored. This ensures that the battery stays in peak condition. These bikes need a full battery to run well, with all the electronics it's equipped with!

My stock battery gave me fits form day one till last weekend(a good year). As long as I
put it on a trickle charge over night it would work most of the time.Last week I got a new battery and put the acid in my self and so far its been doing good,I never put it on the charger at all and it fires right up.I always did have trouble starting it on cold starts before the new battery. Now it fires right up.After a year of trying to figure out my cold start problem I finaly got it straightI had a bum battery!

Mine sometimes sits for 2 or 3 weeks between rides and I have not had a problem with a dead battery. My first guess is the same as BTolenti- was the key on? That'll certainly run it down.

Thanks for all the tips. My key was not on the bike, we started it with a new battery and and it had a lot of smoke coming out of the pipe. And in the dealer we had the same problem with a blaze. That is why I ask if it was normal.
Thanks. (sorry for my writing english is my second language.)

Wow - Dales in Panama !! It is important not to show off your Dale. lol rightttt. Like btolenti said, If you are starting it up, make sure it runs till it's warmed up. Then give it a couple of quick rev's and shut it down. Over the past 18 years of owning quads, I had at least a dozen batteries end up no good. Put a volt meter on it after your done riding when the motor is off. See what the voltage is. Then check and see what it is the next time when you go to start it. It should be between 13 and14.5 volts. If voltage is droping between running times, disconnect the battery next time. Check the voltage, if it still dropped it's the battery. If it only drops when it's connected, then it's something on the quad.

I check the voltage to see. today it worked find. By the way a have been racing atv in Panama for over 10 years and had wariors (3)banshees and a raptor race rady, last year I end up 3rd place do to a crach and the last tree races I was injured. The point is that last week I raced the speed and won the race so easy. this quad is amazing. Before buying it I tried all of the new quads, and none of them compare to the cannondale.
the only problem is that mine is the first one in Panama and the dealers donīt know to much about it. so thanks for all the help.
