i bought a used cannibal from a local dealer and after riding three times, the engine siezed and i can't find anyone to work on it or even find parts to do it myself. does anyone know where i could find a rebuild kit or new engine for it?

are you sure it is seized ?? it could be the crank case studs. we had an engine lock up and it was the bolts that hold the engine and tranny together had backed out. i would pull the left hand engine side cover off first and check for that. you can go to cannondales web site ad look under the crank case stud update bulletin and it will have a picture of the bolts i am talking about.

 

before it seized did you notice the motor making a louder high pitch noise.

 

right now i don't really know the answer to any of those questions. dad was on it when it died so i don't know what it sounded like or anything. i tried the canrkcase stud thing but couldn't figure that out. but i found a local shop that works on them so i will probably take it up there and see what he says. thanks alot!
