Default HELP!

First ride on the Cannondale since the break-in..The problem is when it warms up and you putt around on it for a few, or let it just idle for a second then try to give it gas it feels like its loading up and wanting to foul the plug and die. As long as your running the heck out of it its fine. It still has the stock cannibal map and toaster on it. And i put a new plug in it and the old one looked fine except for a little black dry film....and the fuel filter looks fine also<<still the one on it from when i bought it...Any ideas? thanks

1) check the octane of the gas.
2) did you changed the oil and the gear oil after the break-in?

Default HELP!

Make sure the idle is set to 2100-2200rpms. If the idle is too low, these motors hesitate and, or stall alot. Also, almost every cannondale comes set too rich from the factory. Have your dealer lean it out if it is still acting funny after the idle adjustment. You can also do this yourself if you buy the D+M kit .

I changed Oils and checked idle(and set it up) but still same sluggish/foul/stall symptom. I put new fuel 93 octane in it and was wondering if i put on a slip-on would it help?

Anyone? Think since its only about 20 degrees outside that would be a factor in this?

I'm kinda hazy on the description of your problem. it starts fine? but it doesn't want to run off idle? Sounds like a fuel problem. replace the fuel filter, or at least confirm the quick connects are securely fastened.

Default HELP!

as with any engine, they run rich when cold. after the engine warms up,
rev the engine high to clear any unburned fuel from the cyllinder. i usally
take my cannindale for an aggressive ride for a minute or two.
i have a 2002 cannibal and the factory plug was too cold, so i changed it
to the 2001 spark plug.
