Yep, I'm an engineer. I get tons of technical magazines every month - they normally go straight to the circular file. However, this magazine caught my eye because it had a Moto440 on the cover.

Why did I link the article? I thought some of you technical guys might get something out of it. Hats off to Cannondale for pushing the technology envelope. The article actually relates to what I do for a living. We sell metalworking fluids and dispensing systems. I should send one of our sales reps down there.

Cannondale is closed. they filed Chapter 11....so I don't think any of your sales reps are gonna do any good down there.

I'm sorry to learn about this. I've been away from this website for quite a while... as you can probably tell.

This article has some very relevant facts to Cannondales situation right now the fact that the cases are breaking at motormounts and the bolts inside the engines are coming loose I think are all related to their decision to go with this new type of case.Does anyone think cannondale could afford another round of motor replacments?I am not a engineer and would like to hear what you folks who know think.

I don't know if they'll be around in 5 or 10 years but I think someone will buy the motorsports division some how and keep manufacturing them for now.

Most negative comments are from people who have never riden a Cannondale.
