Ridley - Aint no thang but a chicken ****. I can take some clownin since I was clownin yall too. Especially since Yamaha hasn't made a good MX worthy quad ever. Hehe. Naw, it's all good. I like Yamaha... Especially since I'll be riding one in a few weeks. Not the quad though. I"m buying a YZ 250F! I replied to your post in the ATV RAcing forum. I'm glad someone else feels the same way I do.

ridley, that limb your are talking about must be the size of a giant redwood tree, because yamaha has been building four wheelers since the 80's and they have yet to produce a good four wheeler. sorry to break the news to you since you have dumped your hard earned money into a yamaha product. by the way, how is 2nd gear holding up in your quad? want to know why yamaha has big bucks, because they sell alot of parts to fix thier crappy made products. i guess you have to sell parts to your customers instead of fixing the problems for them like cdale did to stay in business. and about the cdale motor, not only will it smoke your yamaha, it does it with 1/3 the engine displacement. oh yeah, while i'm roosting your rapter, keep on wishing for a new yamaha quad, i'm sure it'll be here any day.

maybe yamaha will buy cdale and learn how to make a real high performance four wheeler. i am not a motorcycle person but a believe yamaha makes a pretty good 4 stroke dirt bike. i wish they would reward their loyal four wheeler customers with the same caliber of products.

I would like to see more companies getting involved in the racing side of the sport. Race teams, contingencies, and more race ready style quads. Cannondale opened the door and now has people wanting Honda, Suzuki/Kawie, Yamaha to set-up. Polaris has answered and GasGas is doing there part. It's only a matter of time before Honda throws there hat back in the mix. I think there wanting on 2 things. Decline in 400ex sales and to see who they have to beat. They don't want to be the ones to set the bar but raise it after everyone else has had their chance.

To bad you did not lend all that econ 101 knowledge to Cannon before they started their ATV /moto venture.

i would argue that there isnt much of a market for full race quads out of the box. I would much rather get a 5,500$ quad and buy my own suspension, A-arms, axle, etc. Instead of spending 10-12k right off the bat. I think thats where cannondale went wrong. They should have just made one quad. And try to get it under 6k msrp. They they would have kicked ***. People that race are picky. You cant chose their suspension for them. The only thing that is really wanted stock is the power. If you can make it cheap with power and better handling then the rest of the stock quads then you will sell well. All they have to do is match the 400ex suspension.

They would have done good if they would have just made the Cannibal and had extended a-arms, axle, ZPS style shocks, ect. as an option.

Either way, the C-dales were and still are awesome quads.
