Riding double in most States on an ATV is against the law.
This cop is a ''do as I say,not as I do'' COP.
If you can PROVE he also rode an ATV double,go to his place of employment with YOUR ticket for ridng double, than prove to the shift commander that the same guy that wrote you up,also violated the SAME law,and you demand that he also be wrote up.

I guess that other states are a lot more restrictive with their atv laws. Its not illegal here(OK) to ride double, especially on private property. We cannot drive on roads, unless it is in pursuit of an agricultural related activity. What other laws are out there concerning atvs, lets hear them.

In NY:
- No 2 up unless ATV is designed for it.
- No riding on public roads
- No riding anywhere unless specifically designated for ATVs (meaning: no riding at ALL except trailpass and 1 or 2 parks)
- Helmet required at all times
- ALL ATVs must be registered with the DMV
- If you ride on property that you do not own, ATV must be insured.
- Must be 16 or older to ride 250 or larger.
Maybe more, but that's all I can think of.
