much better! Even if you don't agree, by discusssing it you're bringing it attention that it needs. Personally, I think trailpass is great, except that I STILL have to register anyway and there are no trailpass trails near me. If you look at my photos, you can see the data that I collected. The more $$$ that NYS gets from us, the more the issue of trails will be forced to be brought up and dealt with. If they are getting millions from us, then the issue will be very visible.

thanks for that link. There's some very good info there!

If you look at the document in my gallery, I included Pennsylvania tourism $$ gained from ATVing. At the time I also knew that similar info was available for Wisconsin, but it seemed that people were more likely to think that things are so different in the midwest that it wasn't applicable. With Penn. data - they are a direct neighbor. Probably less than a couple hours away from most of the residents in NY. Basically, Penn. made $5,000,000 in ATV tourism dollars in the given year for the data (1998 I think). That doesn't include registration, dealer sales, taxes, etc.

NY and our eco-***** are so freaking STUPID! With the economy as it is and with my job in jeopardy because of it I want to go smack everyone in Albany upside their heads!

I don't understand something with that data. Pennsylvania calculated like $15 per trip average - sounds reasonable. Wisconsin calculated $533 per trip? WTF? That doesn't pass the common sense test to me. What's rolled into that number?
