SB 49 will stop your kids from riding in OREGON
#1
There was a thread started on this but it has turned into a complaint session totally off topic.
Senate Bill 49 in Oregon if passed will make it illegal for any child under the age of 12 to operate any ATV and will limit kids from the ages of 12 thru 15 to ATV's of 90cc's or less. If you and/or someone you know rides in Oregon, on our dunes or anywhere else please follow the first link below sponsered by the ATVA to contact Oregon Senators and oppose this bill. The second link will allow to read what portion of the current statue will change.
Oppose Senate Bill 49
SB 49 changes
This bill will damage revenue made from families with children riders, effect the amount of people that travel to Oregon to ride on our great dunes and ultimately decrease the amount of people involved in our sport. I have a 6 year old daughter that has rode for 2 years and I will not take her quad away because of this bill, I would rather find a new job in a different state to let her keep riding. I have a 13 year old son that could probably be injured trying to operate a small ATV such as a 90 since they are not built for kids of his size. I have contacted every representative in our state and urge all of you to do the same.
