HB4323 is a bILL that allows a given County to open there Road Shoulders to ORV'S.
The Senate Commity is having the hearing april 16th in Lansing.
We have been waiting a 1 1/2 for this, and need a bunch of e/mails sent in support, as it was presented from the House of Rep.

The meeting went quite well in our favor. Senate Commitee should vote on it next week, then it goes to the full Senate for a vote then to the gov.

Every one in Michigan, the Senators are playing games with us on the Bill. E/mail or call your Senator, tell them you want HB4323 passed before the Senates summer brake.

 

(The problem is)
Most older People who make our decisions don't actually ride so they are totally against any loud Atv's who are nothing but trouble taring up the country side. That is there attitude.

Lets get rid of all the guns to reduce violance, guns are no good for society. Spoken again by people who live in big City's who never hunt or target practice who only see guns as a nusance, so they want to get rid of all our guns in rural areas where gun violance is very low.

What is it about snowmobibblers are they more fashionable and more respectable than Atv riders hell no! Most sleds are over 100Hp and when a lot of the riders get all drunked up and end-up into the trees or hitting parked cars and several of them are killed every year, you never hear about any new proposed bills to limit their speed or tougher laws for them.

Just my opinion.

The new Atv laws sounds good but it will never happen, I'm afraid. And yes I have written & sent eight emails to all county officials in the Baldwin area and to the proper decisoin makers in Mich.

And why do people have that attitude? Because loud ATVs are obnoxious and far too many people in our ranks have no problem with tearing up trails, trespassing on private land running loud pipes and making a general pest of themselves.

Noise, trespassing, damage and littering are three of the biggest factors in trails being shut down. We're the ones cutting our own throats for not publicly thrashing those who are bound and determined to fjuck it up for the rest of us. How many times do you see people on the forums wanting to know how to rip the baffles or spark arrestors out of their pipes or wanting to find the loudest pipe possible? How many times do we see bragging about trespassing or running from the police?

We're our own worst enemy and it is no wonder why the general public and those in in government hate us with a passion.

 

Most ORV users are safe and responsable users, it's the small 3% that screw it up for the rest of us.

We need to place this blame on our own LEO's as much as we need to say that WE are our own worst enemies. WHY? If im running my car hard and wrecklessly, ONE day, I will be caught and fined like hell. The samething needs to happen with respect to ORVers caught doing the same type of activity and lets not depress the rest of the respectful ORV users for doing the RIGHT things while operating.

To much of our ORV dollars set aside for law enforcement goes in the wrong hands and therefore does not get used for proper enforcement purposes. We should'nt blame those safe/responsable ORV users for this by closing down trails ect.

The system is SCREWED and FLAWED,and until such a time that we recognize this and address it, we will continue to loose.

They have completed there task, and sent it back to the Senate Commitee, they are expected to vote on it June 11, then it goes to the full Senate to vote on, then to Granholm. HB4323 passed in the Senate Commitee today 5-0. Now it on to the full Senate for a vote. Its expected to be a done deal by the end of June.
