Putting pipes on 4 strokes are a big waste of money and are the most annoying sound ever. I dont believe there is an aftermarket 4 stroke pipe that is quite and if there is id like to see proof. Now on a 2 stroke its a totally different story, well worth the upgrade. Whenever I ride and I see someone with one of those loud *** 4 stroke pipes I feel like driving right over them with my quad.

with an 800xxc- you should have no problem

I feel the same way- those are the same people who pull into my kids t-ball game with their windows down, music thumping thinking everyone wants to hear their crappy music- people who put those obnoxious loud pipes on their atv's just don't care how bad they look to the rest of the people who don't ride but have to listen to their bikes everyday pass their house on a trail.

I understand indoor / outdoor motocross and atv'ers who ride in the dunes / deserts where there's no one else around- but here in the tri-state where a lot of the trails are often within 100' of someones house, it just hurts atv'ers as a whole group.

There's a road my friends and I used to drive down and nobody ever said anything about it. Then one guy got a loud aftermarket pipe. The next thing we know people are complaining and the cops gave him a ticket. Now nobody can ride down that road anymore. But that pipe made his quad sound fast. I guess that's the main purpose because it doesn't do much for performance.

it was loud... Supposed to put out most torque

but the tone was the worst sounding ever...

Well don't forget that whatever you use must be Forest friendly too. Spark arrestors are needed at all times.

I know Maine does not allow modified exhaust systems on their trails.

On my snowmobile I put on performance expansion champers (2stroke) from the quite stock pipes. At first is sounded cool but after awhile on long ride days it started to drive me nuts, and thats though a full face helmet.

They did bring the sleds top end up another 20mph to 120mph, but a quite 100 mph is good enough. LOL
