Default Too young to die

KAHOKA, Mo. – A Kahoka, Mo., man is dead following an all-terrain vehicle crash that occurred Saturday night about a mile north of Wayland, Mo. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that at approximately 11:37 p.m., Tyler B. Saxton, 22, was northbound on Route B when his 2008 Honda ERX 700XX ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a drainage ditch. Saxton was ejected from the ATV when it overturned.

--I'll be thinking of this next time I'm tempted to "open 'er up" when I'm riding on a road. A problem for ATV'ers in NE Missouri is that there are no public trails.

Of course we will never know, but I wonder how fast he was going after dark?

Running 45 mph after dark bad things can happen. Such as a raccoon or coyote runs in front of you, or you hit a pothole you can't see or a wheel slips off the pavement onto loose gravel when you take you eye off the road. I try to not overdrive my lights when driving after dark.

Sadly; too often alcohol or other substances are involved...
