Trail widths

And not much smaller either. The new Yamaha Viking 6 passenger model is even bigger than the Teryx. Probably has about the same turning radius as a Jeep too. For the same amount of money, you could just buy everyone their own quad and everyone would have more fun. Then later on if some family members lose interest or move away, you can just sell their quad. You can't cut up a 4 passenger utv and sell part of it.

Ha, I'm all set with that! We bring the girls out a few times per yr, thats enough! The first time my old lady came wheeling I stopped in the middle of a large water crossing and told her we were stuck and she had to get off. Then I rode to the edge of the water
. She still had fun.

I remember those pics. She sure has a lot of patience and a good sense of humor. My wife would not find it so humorous. She wasn't happy with Beergut when he brought us down a trail he found up in Maine where the water was over the headlights. She managed to put her muddy feet on my legs and she didn't get wet. It was okay that I did though....
I went back to get Mrs jgar. The water crossing wasnt too deep.

Looks like a nice hard bottom to the waterhole.

Well, I catch hell for just slinging mud at Mrs DB. That is when the selective hearing steps in. And I retire to my man cave to smoke a rather nasty smelling Cigar. Works like a charm and keeps the mosquitoes down. Now back to business. Looks like Can-Am just released a new world beater that is a whopping 72 inches wide. Now that dude is WIDE. The Maverick X3. Really nice machine, but 30 K and no where to ride it other than dunes and desert... Nope. Would not make a good trail machine out here in the east. Maybe a rock bouncer. But still, I can buy a truck for that. And yes, just in case you are wondering, I did go out and measure up the Raptor Toyhauler in the driveway to see if it would fit. Yes it would, very nicely. A little tight though. I love the fact that the cage hight is way lower than the average Maverick. Coming in under 6 ft. And it is only a foot longer than my Maverick X MR. And a foot shorter than your maverick Max. Going to go looking for a new toy hauler soon. Fusion by Keystone RV has one with a 16 foot garage. But I am thinking about just going all in on an open flat deck in the 40 ft range. Then I could haul my 2 new Can-Am commander XMRs (570 for Mrs DB, 850 for me) and my new Renegade X XT 850 plus our old machines plus a SxS or 2. X3 and XMR. All that the same time. Nah that is too big to pull around even for me. Maybe something in a 29 ft. Kaufman has a nice rig decently priced. One SXS and 4 quads makes more sense.

Yeah. Dmn good thing I have a CDL from a very long time ago eh? Not sure I really want to pull a 40 footer around. Most trail heads I have been to are iffy at best with something in the 20 to 25 foot range. That beast would be way too big. I will prbably tow one of the SXS's and a couple quads. As I get more time on the machines, I am really liking the Renegade. I mean the XMR is way cool, and the reason I bought it was for pulling logs and trailers around the homestead, not to mention plowing snow this winter. But I am really jonesing for a defender with a cab unit with heating. Time will tell. Really only want a Maverick XMR Max to take the grandsons for a ride, but we don't really do that very often. Awful lot of $. The new quads took a bite out of my retirement funds, so have to keep that in perspective too.

Sorry I didn't mean to "edit" your post above - I meant to hit "reply"!!!
Yup; these new toys cost a pretty penny... But they sure are fun, and we can't take the $$$ with us when we go

Seriously though I know a coworker who bought a Teryx4 and loves it. The $17,000 sticker price will turn off a lot of people more than the trail-busting size. But he's got kids and wanted something to haul everyone around in and this was what he picked. He's got a Kawasaki dirt bike if he wants to rip on something by himself, this is the family cruiser. The Teryx4 is pretty fast too for being so huge and heavy, it will top out at around 60 mph with the 783cc v-twin.
