Ocotillo Wells Land Use!!!!
This is the info about a couple public meetings on land use at Ocotillo Wells. If you are able to make it I would recommend it. I do not know of any other meetings that are going to take place.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is now coordinating with California State Parks to prepare a joint General Plan/Recreation Area Management Plan/California Desert Conservation Area Land Use Plan Amendment (GP/RAMP/LUPA) and Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS). More information on the planning process and the environmental review process to follow in advance of the workshops. Stay tuned!
Come out and provide feedback on the Draft Preferred Alternative and the BLM’s Proposed Action. Help identify environmental issues to be addressed in the EIR/EIS.

More Information about the GP/RAMP/LUPA
The next step in the planning process for the Ocotillo Wells GP/RAMP/LUPA has arrived. The Draft Preferred Alternative/Proposed Action and environmental scoping process began February 9th with the release of a Federal Register Notice of Intent and will soon be followed by a state Notice of Preparation and the release of the Draft Preferred Alternative/Proposed Action packet. The website will be updated in early March with the Draft Preferred Alternative/Proposed Action, the Notice of Preparation, and background materials on the environmental scoping process. The final filing date for comments on the Notice of Preparation will be April 6, 2015 and should be returned to the address and/or email below:
