She comes across as hokey and she did say a couple stupid things when campaigning. Again, if people consider Obama "qualified" she had more executive office experience than Obama. Running a state is a lot different than showing up for a vote. I WOULD like to see the witch hunt the mainstream media has out on her applied to Obama and his staff but I don't think that's going to happen. If it was a 3 way race between her, Obama, and McCain I would have picked her mostly because I was less than enthused about the other two. I actually liked Fred Tompson the best out of any of them. Intelligent, understands the Constitution, conservative, etc. But he ran a lousy race if you can even call it that.

You may be discounting my idea's now, and I hope you are, as well as those others that have the liberal mindset discount Our conservative viewpoints also, because hopefully in 2012 the tables will be turned. My healthcare costs have gone up just like everyone else's have. I don't like it either. But socializing healthcare isn't the right way to reform the system. The free market system is the best system in the world, we just need to let it work like it is supposed to! Don't limit healthcare plans with state lines. Let there be real competition among the insurance company's. Put a real cap on the amount a doctor can be sued for so they can afford to carry their own insurance!
The liberals want to steal over 400 million $ from the Medicare plan that you and I have invested in for years!
Then just take a look at the PORK that will be added to this healthcare bill. OUTRAGEOUS!

And by the way Sarah Palin was vastly more experienced than Obama when they were running for office.

"If the Health Care bill does not pass it will put America into bankruptcy"
Yeah, because he stimulated us into bankruptcy
For a guy who campaigned on bitching about Bush running up a deficit, wow, Obama has outdone everyone prior to him in a few months.

I am opposed to government run health care program, just for the simple reason that they screw up everything else they manage.

Social Security is doing so well isn't it.

I can not believe how people seem to think everything is free when the government provides it. You do know where the government gets it's money, right?

I suppose when the government puts a cap on how much money a doctor can make, we will have to have the government take over the medical schools to keep the cost of medical education down. Maybe then those who can't find a better paying private sector job will be able to get a subsidized medical education.

I wonder what else the government will control if we get a government health system. Can they tell us it is to dangerous to ride ATV's? Will they close McDonald's because it is not healthy food? Will we have to drive certain cars because they are safer?

Sounds like a real good idea to me...

Who cares if someone making $50,000 doesn't want to pay for health insurnce? I don't, I pay out of pocket. All I have seen from insurance companies is them using the money they take in as premiums and using it to hire lawyers to find a way to not cover claims.

The government did do a couple things right. GPS and the Internet. Wait, that was the military, working with private contractors and educational institutions. Maybe we should let the military fix things. They do a better job than the bureaucrats. Just my .02 worth. And, yes, I know they are a part of government.

Its amazing how many people think the government is the answer to all problems. I thought that back in the Sixties, but reality has been impressed on me in recent decades. My Senator, who is old enough to know better, said in his newsletter that waste in Medicare would be eliminated and the savings used to pay for the new program. Oh, the irony! Hitler was right went he said if you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it.

I can't believe that these senators are hypocritical enough to have health insurance, that WE pay for, without making sure that we have health insurance too.

I just think they should get about the average of what the American worker gets through his work and private insureance. I think they should stay completely out of the healthcare business, period. The less they do, the less they spend, the less they tax us, the more we have to spend, the better the economy is.

Not only do they ( Senators and members of Congress ) have a different gold plated, Cadillac, medical insurance plan for the rest of there lives, they also receive a very generous pension. Sometimes in the six figure range. They even get their pension money if they have been convicted of a crime and sent to prison! All of this is taxpayer funded of coarse! Isn't it wonderful how well they can spend our money on themselves?! They actually believe that they deserve more and should be treated differently than the average man or woman that puts in 40 or 50 hrs. a week doing a thankless job, earning a small fraction of what a senator or congress-person makes.
They travel around in their limo's, get on the first class flight to wherever or whichever home they want to go to, catch a flight back to DC and then complain about global warming, or how to impress the folks back home so they will be re-elected! All while trying to figure out how to raise taxes so they can spend even more of YOUR money!
