I hear ya and completely understand where you're coming from.

My father, who died last year of kidney cancer was a Korean War vet and had VA benefits. I can't tell how important that service was to him. It worked really well and the doctors were great. They paid attention to scheduling and communicating with his other doctors. I'm hoping whatever we get operates in a similar fashion. Congress doesn't complain about their government health care. I don't think it's all doom and gloom.

I have to wonder just how much money they'd save here in fuel alone if they made the mail delivery people actually walk to deliver the mail instead of sitting in a small van driving around the neighborhood.

Won't be that big of a deal to me if they stop delivery on Saturday. Just means they'll cram more junk mail in on the other 5 days.

Interviewed by ABC News on Thursday in Prague, Obama said the controversy was "a reminder that when we talk about issues like slavery that are so fraught with pain and emotion, that, you know, we'd better do so thinking through how this is going to affect a lot of people."

Too bad he couldn't take his own advice and apply it to the health care bill.

It's funny how the "mainstream" media doesn't delve into the policies until after they are passed. If Bush had the friends Obama has, said the things Obama's said, and did the things Obama has I don't think they'd give him the slack they are giving Obama. Just my own observations.
