I believe a flat tax is a good solution. Will we ever see it? Probably not. But it would cut down on the number of IRS workers we pay for out of those same taxes. The trouble is, you can get a good conservative President and House of Representatives, but if you don't also get a good Senate the other two are powerless to effect meaningful change. The idea is to get candidates that are as close as possible without letting the candidate that is way off get back in...

I'd love to see them phase it out over time. I believe it was what has led to the entitlement programs the federal government looks at so adoringly.

Still, vote for the guy who has a chance that said he'll make cuts. Romney understood what it takes for a business to run a profit. I'd rather have him than the neighborhood organizer in chief.

I joined my local Libertarian party. I get the word out to people that there is perhaps a different view or road to take in our local government. I show people the Liberties that are disappearing, The Fourth amendment is gone under the Patriot act, Due process is dead under NDAA. I feel I'm doing my country justice by being a whistle blower to what those morons are doing.

Perhaps an Opt out clause to not just SS but all entitlements to everyone under a certain age?

An excise tax on what????
A Flat excise tax every tax payer pays once a year to fund the Military. Flat, it doesn't go up or down based on how much money you make.

That being said, gun ownership is a constitutional right and if the President (whoever that is) gives and order to confiscate all guns, without first having a constitutional amendment, it would be an illegal order from the Commander in Chief and illegal orders must be refused by the military.
I don't feel their gonna take them away, but limit them very severely. It's a sham I have to pay to carry my Ruger.

A flat tax is still a percentage. It's just a percentage that everyone pays. So, if you make $100,000 a flat ten percent tax is $10,000. If you make $40,000 it's $4,000. So, in that respect it goes up or down based on what you make, but it is, by far, the fairest system out there.

You don't make enough to pay fed, income tax. If you paid fed. income tax, you didn't do your tax return correctly.

To carry, or concealed carry? Most states allow open carry without permit.

Excise tax is a percentage!!!!!!! So the more you make the more you pay.
GET EDUCATED!!!!!!!!
And look at what you wrote. "A flat tax every tax payer pays" With your way of slanted thinking, shouldn't it say a flat excise tax every WAGE EARNER pays? And what about those that don't work, what will they pay? That house wife whose husband works and she doesn't, what about her "flat excise tax"?
