at this stage of the election game- you have two relevent choices- like it or not- it's what you have.

 

no- because a person has the right to not "love" guns- it's their opinion.

that person does NOT have the right to control my desire to own or carry a gun based on his "feelings" but let me throw this out there for the sake of argument-

what if tomorrow the president said he's banning all gun sales in america and confiscating all firearms in everyones home???

what do you think will happen? do you actually think that would be allowed to happen? do you really think that the gov't has the muscle to force 50 - 60 million households hand over their firearms?

the pres would be thrown out of the office! and please don't tell me the pres will use military to get it done- nope, that aint gonna happen either because the men and woman in the military are just like me and... well, not you- but the other posters above who believe in their freedom- and would most likely disobey that order.
You think the local PD is going to be able to disarm every gun owning american? nope- that aint gunna happen either. They'd need to replace the entire PD everyday from the amout of dead cops as a result.
the chief here in my town is a huge supporter of a citizens right to own and carry a gun! bottom line is- no human that thinks his life is more important than whether or not I can carry a gun is going to go kicking in some gun owners door trying to confiscate his guns!

There was a police chief here in worcester that would refuse to grant class A permits to anyone (class A = ability to conceal and carry / buy hi-cap firarms) know what happen to him...? the people of worcester dragged his *** through the court system and put an end to that ****- and the courts (from the local district to the supreme / federal courts) have been on the gun owners side throughout the 21st century.

The gun owner lobby is too strong, there are too many gun owners in america- this country would literally be destroyed if that order ever came down to disarm the US citizens- and they know that. And I live in massachusetts- the most unfriendly anti-gun (and anti atv) state in the union. if they could ban them here, they would've long ago- but it aint gonna happen. They might impose restrictions, but that battle if fought locally, not nationally. Mass is one state south of NH (live free or die state)- one of the most lenient gun states in the country. I'd love to see the federal gov't show up there demanding their guns

 

This is exactly what a lot of those programs were designed for. And for that, I have no problem. It's those that lie and abuse the system that are ruining it. My family went through this with my brother when I was very young. Not as many programs back then, but there was some help.

I wish nothing but the best for your family, and I hope that those programs that help you stay in place and continue to do so. But I also fear those same programs are going to be tapped out with the current administrations continued support of those here illegally and stressing a system that was never designed for them to use.

 

carries ( my wife's) aunt & uncle have two 30 year old boys that are wheel chair bound 24 / 7 with severe cerebral palsy and mental retardation- it's a very tough life for all- I can't imagine it

 

Do your tax return and you get back the Fed. income tax (because you don't make enough $$) that is if you can properly file your taxes.

The military pledge an oath to uphold the constitution of the United States of America.
That being said, gun ownership is a constitutional right and if the President (whoever that is) gives and order to confiscate all guns, without first having a constitutional amendment, it would be an illegal order from the Commander in Chief and illegal orders must be refused by the military.

 

We have had some services cut, like respite. But to date nothing major.
I use to follow politics hourly and for years. Now all I do is keep tabs on it. I came to the conclusion that as long as any politician is allowed to turn their job into a career and they are being paid nothing will really change.
Even with that being said I still feel we have the best system of government going.

 

In a perfect world all the politicians would read the Federalist Papers and understand that the 2nd Amendment was written so any citizen can take up arms against a tyrannical government. It's just not the case right now. But, Romney is more open to changing to the right of the argument than Obummer.
