When will we draw the line on gun control

If we're going to tax, and that's what it will turn in to, the 2nd amendment, how long till we start doing so for the others?

No, just no. Not having liability doesn't stop car accidents, and will do nothing to curb gun violence. It will only serve to limit lower and fixed income LAW ABIDING people from having guns. I think of my parents in this case. Older, fixed income, health issues, they would not be able to afford a policy I am afraid. Should they lose the ability to defend themselves? Or to even hunt, which dad loves?

Poor people don't need to defend themselves because they don't have anything. Self defense is only for the rich /s

Then the next step would be to have all ammunition boxes and individual bullet cases to have serial numbers that you have to sign for so they can track it. You give into one demand such as "liability insurance",then the liberals will always add more restraints and constantly attack around the edges of the second amendment even though they can't directly attack it head on. Don't even give them any extra ideas, they have enough ideas of their own already to throw at law abiding citizens if they can get legislation passed for them. Our founding fathers already warned us about that several times about giving away freedoms. This would just be another way of chipping away at them.

As with cars, premiums would be low for law abiding citizens, especially older citizens with one or two guns. A young male with multiple semi-automatic guns would pay a high premium. If your gun is stolen and used in a crime, insurance covers your liability. If you accidentally shoot a hole in your neighbors house while cleaning your gun, insurance covers your liability.
That's what home owners or renters insurance is for. You wouldn't know that because you are either living in government housing or your mom's basement.

We don't need new laws, we need to enforce the ones we already have. We need to repeal a lot of the restrictive laws on the books that only hinder the law abiding. And we need to realize, even if every gun was magically eradicated, people would just find other ways to commit mass murders. We don't blame the spoon for making us fat, we don't blame the car for the DUI, and we should not blame the gun for those crimes.

You're right. People will always find a way to murder. The deadliest mass murder to take place at a school in United States history was the Bath school disaster where a guy used dynamite to blow the school up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bath_School_disaster

Another day and my guns have committed no mass murders. I've remained emotionally and mentally stable. I'm being a productive member of society. (for the most part)
Yet I should be punished because someone else couldn't do those things.
Hey, there's beer in my refrigerator, when am I going be held responsible for a drunk driver killing someone across the country?
