79'bronco 400.... ???

Default 79'bronco 400.... ???

i just talked to a guy i know and he has a 79 bronco that his mom bought new in 79 at his cabin 30 miles away from here but it needs work.. it has no oil pressure and the body will need some puttying and painting, is it worth $100?

those things are tough as nails! your gonna have to dump a little money, but it will be worth it. when fully restored, i think that they still look somewhat modern. if it's just going to be a toy, i wouldn't bother with the body or interior. check out "www.top4x4sites.com" you will see a bronco site there that usually rates in the top five. any possible question that you may have can be answered there. 1 owner 79 bronco running or not could easily bring $500 in horrible shape! go get it & keep me posted.

Is a pretty good site, it may be the one carver is talking about as its listed in that topsite. I have a 92 bronco and check out that board often

I have a 92 as well, in the process of dumping too much money into it.. Love the thing.

yep... idk how much i should dump into it because its gonna be my mudder so... how much do piston rings cost on these things and where i can i find some? need some damn thing has no oil pressure....

Have you seen the truck yet? how long has it been sitting? You may want to check the frame for rot, it can get very expensive to restore a frame, unless you do it yourself, then you can make it stronger than stock. I'm sure you've looked at those websites, and know they make replacement parts for just about anything on that truck. For $100.00, you're really getting a steal, and a great project truck, and a very capable off roader.
