Anyone have info on the Weekend Warrior Toy Hauler? I'm considering the ultra light 19' and wondered if anyone has had good luck, bad luck or any sort of luck with this brand. Has anyone tried the Thor PakRat yet? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

I do believe the Weekend Warrior is what everybody compares theirs to. Our friends seem to think they are the nicest and best built toy haulers.

 

Like he said, the Warrior is the standard by which all the others are judged. A bunch of my friends have them, and love them! As I recall, you have a Jeep as a tow vehicle?? Even the 19' is pretty heavy!!

As far as PakRats, I haven't even seen one out on the road, much less camped somewhere. My impressions was that it would be tough to get two full size quads on the back of one. That might be hurting sales??

 

I'd been looking at a 29' Vortex, but have never had any experience w/ toy haulers. This thing had absolutely every option you could want. Then on Saturday, I was talking to a fella at a nearby campsite and he said that Thor of California (Vortex maker) was junk.

Recon - According the the sales reps (and maybe I should emphasize "sales") I should have no problem towing the 19'ultra lite. The specs show a dry weight of about somewhere between 3500 and 3700. With two quads (about 750# total) and gear and H20 and gas, I figure on topping out at about 5000#. The Jeep is rated at 6000#. I don't plan on trips more than about 2-3 hours each way (Bastow, Ocotillo Wells, Joshnson Valley) and will most likely use it for day trips only so I won't be filling the tanks full and will carry less gear. We will be going with friends so they can carry some of the heavier items on their trailer or in their trucks. What I want is a ladies room, shower and cool place to rest up a bit.

The weekend warrior is nice on the inside. I checked out a Carson trailer 16'. It comes pretty much stripped, to add all of the options of hte WW the prices would come out to be pretty close. I do need to check out the pak rat. I keep driving by the one on the 60 fwy and need to stop in. The PR doesn't weight too much less than the WW.

 

The Super Lites are new for this year, so I hadn't seen them yet. The FK1900 has a dry weight of 3,887 lbs. The hitch weight is 650 lbs. dry, which will probably be high for your Jeep???? With the bikes and gear in the back, the hitch weight will improve though (it balances things out).

Unfortunately to small for me!! I need to haul 6 bikes.

 

dude!! don't beleave anything a dealer tells you, there just try to make a sale!! and ya a jeep can probley tow it, but think of the tranny, you know how hard that will be on your tranny. and you'd be doing 20 up the hill's. so i would re-cosider. go ask the dealer if you can take it on a test hual, and see if your jeep can handle it!!

Look at the " Attitude " We looked at the 23'. Manufactured by the guy who designed weekend warrior. Fuel station, microwave, tv/vcr all standard. Lite weight. We can pull it with our Suburban 350. fits 3 full size quads and 2 kids quads easily. Was on sale at McMahans RV in Colton for $16,500.00 Check it out.
