Kids Quad tires
#1
I have a question, My kids quad is a E-ton 90cc, 2 stroke, similiar to the Suzuki LT-80. The original tires on the rear are 19x7x8 knobby. I put my wifes Recon tires & rims 22x10x9 on the E-ton. The quad looks funky, but the tires don't scrub.
Question is the larger tires changed the handling of the quad, it now turns better, is that right?
Also, will it hurt the axle, or motor, or belt(automatic) by having heavier tires on it.
I would like to put some mud tire like the Mud Bugs 21x11x9 on it. The extra ground clearance should help + we have lots of muddy trails & mud holes where we ride.
Thanks for your help

Keep in mind that the larger a tire, the heavier it is. This is especially true with mud tires such as the mud bug, vamps, ect. You will with out a doubt put more stress on the quad. How much, and will it hurt it, I don't know.
