riding boots????
Not bad for $8.99 and about 30 minutes of work...
.4 mph slow as per my GPS. I could get it on the money if I calculate the true tire diameter and reprogram the unit. I'll get around to it this week. It's a bike speedo so the sensor is only good to about 57mph. (My Z400 GPS at 73.6 MPH on a cold morning)

Boots I think are the best investment for riding gear anyways....Helmet, Gloves, and Boots. I do not recommend O'neil Elements. They will last you about one season then be shot. I'm buying Alpinestar Tech 4's this spring. $160.00

I bought the O'neils, they were $100... The boots can be a little stiff moving the foot up and down for a few rides. Most likely, you will need to adjust the gear shifter. Personally, I won't ride without the boots anymore. The boots offer foot/ankle/leg protection and help you stay on the footpegs. Important when jumping, unless you're one of these tricksters. Go to the dealer and try on a few pairs and see how they fit and whether you like the fastening clamps or not. I highly recommend the riding boots and am very suprised by those who dislike them. I'm glad we're not all the same, though... One color of quad would be a little boring

I just bought O'Neill's a week ago. Yes, as everyone has said about boots, they are stiff at first. My hubby and son have A.R.C. boots and they said for the cheap price and as much riding as we do they will do just fine. They were too sloppy on me and my daughter. I also noticed the ONeills have more cushion and contoured fitting. I honestly like the looks of some of the other more expensive boots but hey, when you have to clothe a family of four you have to compromise.
After last week's ride in the woods on the cold, snowy trails in my new boots, my feet keep snuggly warm compared to my rubber boots from before! (and they never hurt once).

Good boots make a huge difference! I twisted my ankle last year at Silver Lake when my cheap, stock plastic heelguards gave out and I ran my foot over with my rear tire. Planting into the face of a dune doesn't help either.... My Thor T-10s were a few years old and did not protect my ankle. I just got new Tech-6's and I don't think I have to worry anymore. Plus I got a pair of GYT-R stainless heelguards. If you're getting boots, invest ten more bucks and get a pair of Fox or Thor socks. They are extremely comfortable in any weather and help with the transition from sneaker to boot.
