I think the Trail Wolf is their newest tire out.

I wish my friend had paid more attention to the show he heard the information on. I wouldn't be putting all of you through this. Anyway, thanks for all the input.

Hey Rubione, I saw that show on ATV T.V. also and MuddyRancher was right on. It was the ITP Spidertrac and Doug Meyer, who narrates the show and is an editor for ATV magazine did say it was the best all around tire they had tested. looked like a pretty neat tire.

the spider trac is a good mud tire. they have been around since the mid 80's. my buddy had a set on his 86 quadsport and they hooked up well in the mud.

my brother has a set of super swampers on his 450ES (with lift & big wheel kits) and the tires are simply awesome for heavy mud & stump pulling power.

the gateway wooly booger is also a great "power to the ground" kind of tire.

I was also thinking about those Spider Trac's

Dirt wheels used them on the project 730 Grizzly and said they were awsome. Plus they are made out of the same compound as the Blackwaters but much cheaper. Still 4-ply though. I think I'll get those before I get blackwaters.

Anyone have them? I heard they are really good on anything. Let me know what you have heard! Good or bad.

The reason they said the Spider tracs were new, is because they are new for ITP. Dick Cepek made the tires since the 80's. ITP bought the mold from them, and did some changes to the carcass of the tire, to make it a bit stronger. The tread is still the same though.

Spider Tracs are awesome. I ride with a number of guys and 4 of them swear by them. They are a square tire, so they handle extremely well. They are great in the mud. Perhaps not the ultimate tire in the mud, but you will not get stuck because you have them on. (hung up, etc....)

The only drawback was that the nylon belting wasn't the greatest. One of the guys broke all the belts with his modified banshee. (He was doing 100mph.) The one tire turned round like a drag tire . (In retrospect, we think that the only tire that would take that type of abuse is a radial. Similar to what comes on the 400EX and Raptor.

Perhaps ITP has strengthened the tire. I still don't know many tires that will take the speed of that machine .

But overall, the Spider Tracs are great. They are heavier than most stocks, but you can't beat the traction.

They also look way cool too.

I remember being able to get the Spidertracs with steel belts as an option. mucho tougher.
