I have a problem with my 250r starting when it is cold like 40 to 50 F, If the cylinder is warm it will start the first or second kick. I dont think this is normal but when warm it will start with out any prob.

Maybe the choke is not working correctly. Did you try cleaning carb and taking apart the choke assembly?

the choke is ok it is on the carb like stock and it will start if the sun is on it to take the chill off. and if i do putt the chock on when it is running it workes good (or makes the engine work bad)

you might want to take the carb off and clean it out.I noticed ealier on my brothers suzuki it wasnt running right and when we cleaned it out it had dirt and grime in it.it works fine now i dont know if this pertains to you or not but it wouldnt hurt to check.
