Helmets...one more time
#1
Just a brief posting to say thanks to the several people who responded to my original post regarding finding a helmet big enough to fit. As a result of your imputs I ordered an 8.25 sized open-faced Simpson helmet this past Friday, July 21. I should have it in 4-6 weeks. Thank You!
The date 7/21 was my 65th birthday. Since it was a major milestone, I felt I deserved a somewhat bigger gift to myself than just a helmet. I stopped on the way home and purchased a new Yamaha Grizzly.
The other important matter about last Friday was that many of you who go to work every day are now contributing to my Social Security check. Thank you very much. Please keep on working!. :-)
Thanks again

Hey, glad to hear my hard earned dollars are going for at least one good cause!!! Heh heh heh! Seriously though, glad to hear you purchased a new quad, hope the Grizz works out great for you. Also, I think that is a great gift for yourself for your 65th. Can't think of anything better.
Happy belated birthday, and Happy Trails!!!

Next time I look at FICA on my paycheck I'll think of you Dawer. I grew up in Dade & Broward counties, which I wouldn't recommend for anyone, but among other N. Fla. places I used to take my boys squirrel hunting near Cross City in the Steinhatchee WMA in the 80's. That was before my atving days (actually, this past Feb was before my atving days), and given the year-to-year rate of bulldozed oak trees even back then, I wonder if there's much of it left. But we have some fond memories. With the sand trails and roads and creek crossings it would have been fun with an atv.
