Just curious? Will Harry Gant #33 items ever be worth anything. My godfather used to be friends with him and he gave me a bunch of Gant patches, stickers, postcards, bandanas and pins. (all in original packages) Skoal Bandit items. Are they worth anything?

Well, that was a pretty good race. Martin pulled a solid top ten, which he needs to continue to do to get back in the thick of things. Can't complain about Junior winning. Good to see that there was a second groove to race on, would have been a boring race otherwise. But it wasn't, it was another exciting Richmond race. What do you guys think of Nascar dumping Rockingham next year, and taking a race away from Darlington? I think it sucks a$$ myself. Those are two of the best races of the year, and they're taking them away. Nascar seems to be getting to be too much about the all mighty dollar. Sad, but it seems to be the way the world has been going.

Sad for some good for others. The reason I say this is because there are trying to get funding for a track in Louisiana. Be awsome to only have to drive 4 hrs. at the most to a race. Talladega is the nearest track now.

I think NASCAR will be gone in a few years if they dont keep it like it should! Not that expansion isnt good but at what cost? The old time fans are dropping the sprort like a hot rock. How long will the new so called fans stay behind the sport?$$$$$$$ ruin everything

Not only are the old fans dropping, but there are a fair amount of cars running around the track without a primary sponser. These race teams are pricing themselves right out of the sponsers price range. This obviously isn't good for the sport. Only time will tell what will come of this. I'd love if a track were built closer to me, but that will never happen in Minnesota. The closest tracks to me are Chicago and Kansas. Neither of which I'm gonna fork over the $200 or $300 or whatever they want for tickets. I've went to the spring race in Bristol the past two years. That is about a twenty-two hour jaunt, but it is way better racing then Kansas, Chicago, or Michigan, which I went to in 2002. Six of us go to Bristol in a motorhome. It is an absolute riot. Two races, some golf, campfires, good food, and a whole lot of beer. I'd reccomend it to anyone. What sucks about the newer tracks is that they all are rather boring races in comparison to the short tracks. Build something similar to Richond or Bristol. I don't know why Nascar has such a hard time realizing that those are two of the most anticipated races of the year. No one circles the Vegas race of their calendar unless they're going to it. The 1.5 mile cookie cutter tracks just don't create that exciting of racing compared to those two tracks. This is just my opinion, but I'm betting the majority of race fans agree with me.

I think the reason they are cutting the short tracks(which I like the best)is because they dont have the seatting capacity of the bigger ones. They dont care about the race or the race fan just the $$$$$$.

I agree its bits that nascar is in it for the money. But do you know anyone who doesnt want to make more money? I didnt start really watching nascar every weekend till last year. I kept up with Dale Sr. before that but I didnt watch many races. I'm not a fan of the short tracks. I like big speed.
