1968 VW Bug. Bought it NEW for $1,600!

 

1971 Mercury Capri. Bought it used for 295 dollars. Drove the crap out of it for 2 years, then put a rod through the side of the block.

 

'72 Dodge Duster, 198CI, 3 on the tree, even had the manual windshield washer pump. Drove it 2 years, just add gas. It would start at -40C without being plugged in, imagine the look of people with modern cars that wouldn't go.

 

1973 Dodge Charger SE. Awesome car until I blew it up in college. Sat in the barn for 10+ years until little brother got it going again.
Now he has a girlfriend so it's sitting in the barn again needing work.

 

66 Ranchero, 141,000 miles, bought it for like 590 bucks. Glad I don't have it anymore. Kept it for a year (in 1977) traded in on mint 68 Cougar XR7 that I wish I DID still have.

91 Mustang GT...I was 16. I sure did get into a lot of trouble with that car...

 

1969 GTO with 455 4 speed. the motor used so much oil i had to keep a case of the cheap oil in the trunk. i had a piece of plywood in the trunk to keep the bottles of oil from falling out the rusted fenders. it looked like crap but it would still light the tires pretty good. paid $600 for it and had to take out a 12 month loan to buy it. cutting grass didn't pay that much back then.
