If the mods have a problem with this, please delete it.
I am a pretty passive individual when it comes to war. I tend to be the more level headed one when in discussion about this conflict, but this just makes me want to carpet bomb their silly asses!!!!!

It really is good vs. evil, and that video, along with every other disgustingly vile vid and pic of terrorists MURDERING innocent civilians PROVES IT.
BTW, you idiotic liberal reading this, WE are the GOOD, THEY are the EVIL.
Hey... I feel a little better now!

Looks like the whole Iraq deal is a failed mission IMO. The Afganistan mission was a success, but we left too quick. Iraq is a failure, and we haven't even finished the job in Afganistan.
If a local people do not want you in their country no amount of force will change their minds. We can either kill em all or leave now. This lesson has been taught time and again. The British in India, the American Revolution, Stalingrad, VietNam and on and on. The strongest nations in the world kicked out by rag tag locals who refused to submit. Call me a liberal if you like. My post has nothing to do with liberalism, in fact I'm a conservative. I personally would not be willing to send my sons to die in some sh1thole country where we are not even wanted. When will we learn??
Oh BTW, what happened to those dirt cheap gas prices we were supposed to get as a result of the Iraq invasion? Cheney is laughing his azz off at the American public.
FOOLED YA!

I saw the video and wish I had not. I honestly felt sick, EXTREMELY P!SSED OFF, sad, and humiliated all at the same time. I can't conceivably imagine how one human being can possibly do something so horrific especially to a civilian who was only there to find some work and help the people rebuild there infrastructure. May they burn in h*ll for eternity.
bsb64....I get your point and I too am very conservative. I just don't see a good ending for this.
For those who believe the prisoner abuse photos are the biggest atrocity ever, please watch the video of Nick Berg. Then ask yourself, how humanly should we treat 'those' prisoners of war if catch them? Yep, thought so!

War has always been a real nasty business, just now in the digital age we see it closer up. The Japanese committed unspeakable atrocities during the Rape of Nanking in the late 30's for example.
We are reminded of cultural differences. Many other cultures like middle eastern and far eastern will do things to people that our western cultur abhors. Much different value of life.
Like it or not, we are in Iraq forever. The new world war is the war on terrorism, and that's our beach head. We ain't leaving, ever. For petes sake we're still in Germany since WWII. (God knows why.)
I agree that to invade a country and occupy it then beg acceptance is naive. The only method that works is to kill the enemy, and through pure brute strength intimidate everyone in the area to follow the rules or die.
We are all caught up in the incrememtalism of daily losses right now. Look at the big picture. Radical Islamics are invading the whole planet and will not stop. We are fighting a cancer. It ain't pretty, but thank God we got rid of draft dodger Willie who let it go for 8 years and we got the man who lays it all on the line by recognizing reality and taking action.
Sorry for the long post.
