Fuel prices gone wild !!

I dont want to get into a political debate, But how does the president effect what opec does to fuel cost. The only thing the president does with fuel is put it into the vehicle he gets driven around in.

She said he lost a million bucks overnight yesterday due to a gamble, and then the cost went up and he had no fuel to sell at a contract cost, and had to buy it higher to sell it at the lower contract cost? Something like that.(if i remember it corectly.)

Being a commodity trader, I have both won and lost in that scenario.

LONDON (Reuters)
U.S. oil prices have set another record on the New York Mercantile Exchange, reaching $41.85 a barrel, the highest since NYMEX launched its crude contract in 1983.
Following are some of the factors behind oil's price surge.
-- LOW INVENTORIES, OPEC MARKET MANAGEMENT

I understand that Chaney is ex-CEO for halliburton. I also understand that he has money in stocks for them. But how does that effect gas prices? The worlds consumption and quantity of a product determain the value not the word of a President.

I cant vote for someone else. If they had a better candidate than Kerry I would vote against Bush. Yes Bush and Chaney are making a killing but can you blame them.
As for Weapons of Mass Destruction. Check fox news. Saren gas bomb was used today to try and kill American soldiers. I know it was just 1 bomb. But if theres 1 theres always more. Saddam wasnt a stupid man. Crazy yes stupid no. He did a very good job of hiding them (thats my belief).
