Default Ticket vs Impound

Anyone have any information on the probability/odds of getting a ticket vs having a quad impounded? My state seems to allow permits only for "special use" which is more for farm. There is a big hassle and I cannot get a straight answer from sheriffs office & state highway patrol. I live in fairly rural area with gravel roads & plan on meeting the requirements *for getting a bike legal if you are elligable for a permit*. I plan on wearing a helmet, using a flag, & the slow moving vehicle triangle.

There are many miles of rural gravel county roads and I am "considering" riding them anyway. I wont mind paying a small ticket if i get unlucky, but dont want my bike impounded.

Other people say I should "run" if i see a cop, but I dont wanna cause problems or get myself or a cop hurt.

I have also heard that the odds of them impounding my bike for a minor offense is slim, because it is a major hassle to impound a vehicle where i live.

Anyone have any experience or anything with this ?

Any helpful info would be appriciated.
