I was wondering if anybody else heard about the guy getting hurt and then the park rangers ticketing everyone a weekend or two ago? We wanted to take a trip down this weekend but I don't want to get ticketed or my trike impounded. Has anybody been there either this weekend or last and have you had any trouble with the authorities? I hope they don't shut it down. If they haven't been cracking down still we are going there the weekend after Easter and we're always glad to meet some new people.

 

Pull far and deep enoughinto the pit and they can not get you. Someone was air lifted out of the pit to a local hospital. and a week after that 2 people were killed on the 100ft hill thats what i herd anyway. we were there 3 weeks ago and no problems.

Thanks for the info. We usually camp on the front side of the little "island" in the main pit but maybe we'll have to go around back (as long as we can get the camper back there).
