Default Handle bars?

I want to trade out the steel handle bars with aluminum. I didn't want to spend the $200 for the ones without the cross bar. If I buy the cheaper ones and take the cross bar off will the flex too much? I also noticed some bars are thicker through the mounting section. Are these durable enough to run without the cross bar?

Default Handle bars?

Correct, Let me clarify this a little. I don't want the cross bar. My concern is that If I remove the cross bar how much will it weaken the handle bars? Will they flex too much when I am trying to steer the quad? If I can buy the less expensive aluminum bars, remove the cross bar and get them to fit in the standard 7/8" mounting then that is the way I would prefer to go. If they are too weak to be ridden without the cross bar then I will go the fat bar route and spend the bucks.

Default Handle bars?

Let me clarify this a little more. I fully understand the price range I can buy handle bars for. my question is; can I buy the less expensive normal aluminum bars, remove the cross bar and still retain a solid feeling handle bar? If I remove the cross bar will that allow the handle bars to flex too much, and I have to buy the larger "fat bars"?

Thanks,

that bar is there for a reason i suppose and i'm pretty sure they would not be as strong. now, are they strong enough to not matter? i don't know.

"Fat bars" are 1 1/8" diameter at the mounting area. Standard bars are only 7/8" diameter at the mounting area. $68 is just for the bar then you have to add another $50 for the larger generic mounts. So you're actually spending $118. Then when I add handguards I have to purchase another large mount for another $20 so the handguards will clamp onto the bars. I can buy a set of standard aluminum bars from $21 on up to $70. They fit in the standard mounts, and no extra hardware would need to be purchased for the handguards. If I can save a hundred bucks then why not.
