The spring car racing at knoxville iowa or whatever. Saw this kid, a 9th grader racing a sprint. He won in C class and got a transfer into B class. It just suprised me that they would allow someone so young to compete in such a race. Anyway i am guessing this race was pre-recorded a couple of months ago, because i was talking to my dad and he said the 9th grader was dead. He said he was talking to the kids uncle and he had a QUAD accident, broke his neck and died. Anyone else know/heard of this?

There was a young local sprint car racer that died in an ATV accident. I think the last name was Rettig.

 

i think his car # was 31 if i remember correctly.

His name is Nathan Rettig. I'm not sure who his immediate family is, but I do know that there was a Rettig that had 2 sprint cars running at the Benton track when it was open. And I believe that one of those cars ran #31.
