While I agree that there are some bad apples out there...there are some good ones too...I've been involved in almost 300 auctions on Ebay. I've never had any problems. Be smart about who you buy from, check out the feedback rating. As one poster said, use Escrow for the high ticket items. I just bought a quad for my son a few weeks ago, and I bought another one last year, both on Ebay. I just arranged to pick the machines up, and took the money with me. I would have had no problem not buying either machine if it was misrepresented.

As far as those 3200 dollar Predators, brand new, with free shipping....come on...you'd have to be a total fool to bid on those...

I seen the auction that you mentioned in your post. Boy, that takes some gonads to do that. I can't even imagine doing that to someone. $3,500 takes a long time to save, especially when raising a family and buying a house and some hosehead is trying to steal it from someone. The sad part is that the auction was allowed to play out and wasn't ended by Ebay. Since the seller has access to your pictures, he obviously has access to this site so maybe he can read this. It is a shame his pathetic little existence won't allow him to earn money like we do in America. He probably lives in a one room apartment with one electric and phone line and stole the computer he does this with. That is when he isn't playing with himself, wishing he could interact with a woman.

Yea I wasn't going to buy anything until I saw it. I only looked for auctions within driving distance and this one was about an hour away. I was willing to drive a bit to save a few hundred bucks.

It actually worked out better since I got an 01 at a local dealer for $2900 that was in better shape and already had a few mods and was dealer maintained.
