I feel a big rant coming, so shut up and listen[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Let me give you some background, I've been involved with quads since I was three. When I turned 12, got my first ATV of my own(family had others that I rode previously). It was an LT230, rode the hell outta it, then thought I wanted a dirt bike. Got a CR250 when I was 13 after selling the quad. The bike was not for me, so I sold it and bought a Kawasaki Mojave. It was a POS, but it was something to ride at least. I broke the swingarm and various other things and ended up trading it for an LT500 rolling chassis. I planned on getting a job at McDonalds when I turned 15 and would buy a motor off Ebay or something. Things never worked out that way. Then my mom graciously offered to take out a loan from the bank to buy me a 250R as long as I paid the payments. Well, all of a sudden, she decides not to, and loans me money to get my Uncles ATC. I aint bitching about it, cause most parents wouldn't do that. I paid her back and the thing blows up twice and has been sitting since. Now, I turn 16 and get a full time job and a rich uncle decidea to tell me he will co-sign a loan for me to get a new quad. I kept my job for 6 months, and he goes back on his word. He says later in the year he will do it. So I continue to work and save a little money(most ended up going to my truck). Then he says he can't do it because he' selling his house. I get another Uncle to get a loan for me, but he didn't have perfect credit so I needed $800 to put down. I had the Cash in my hand, and was heading to the dealership to pick up the quad, when my truck blows up!!!! I got pissed, but got over it eventually. Now, I turn 18, and don't need to rely on anyone to help me pay for toys. The dealer tells me, bring in $600 and the bike is yours". So I had to work, and the next ,morning was heading to the dealership, or so I thought. Get in my car and the friggen tranny is gone!!! Now I'm pissed, gotta spend my down payment $$$ on the tranny for my car. A few weeks later, I have enough cash to get the quad, and I lose my job!!! Now I'm pissed and really wonder if I wasn't meant to have a quad??

Trust me, its better not to have an atv than to swim in debt because of it. Save up, and perhaps buy a new vehicle first. Toys can come later.

 

Dang man, that sucks.

But definately listen to maddog, find a reliable vehicle, a toy can comelater.

a reliable vehicle is a 'need'

 

Thats not the only "bummer" I've got in life, but that one applies here. Anyway, this thread can die now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
