You sure are quick to volunteer the US military for all kinds of wars. I know that you know once we break off from Iraq and start invading other Muslim countrys, then we will literally start WW 3 (you know that right?) I hope your president (and unfortunately mine as well) has enough sense and enough good people on his administration team to know that Iraq must be the last place we send our young men to. I hope and pray all the right wing evangelist (god fearing ppl {yeah right}) dont think that a holy war is the only solution to the problems of the world .... but time will tell.

I am not volunteering our troops, if the LEFT would open thier eyes and take a look at what is really happening and not just what would be a good dream to fall asleep to then maybe they would realize hey, maybe it is us or them ?

 

Well a realist would see that "what's really happening" is open to interpetation, depending on who your listening to. Because even if you break down all the info coming in, research the internet, read all the news articles from both leftist and right wingers (and by the way who has that kind of time?) then you as a realist would realize that its way too murky to just start bombing the hell out of ppl. Realisticlly speaking that is. Our military can overshadow nearly every country in the world .... yes nearly every country .... China is a force to be reckon with, Russia has problems but do not underestimate their will for all out war.
What's the solution to that you ask .... lets start nuking the f@ckers, oh wait they have the same capabilities. That would leave the earth in a green glowing state for let's say 10,000 years. If we as a country keep up this pre-emptive posture(which BTW 80% of the planet thinks otherwise) then we are doomed. ..... News Flash: Newsweeks article 6 months back gave a list of the top ten terrorist states of the planet, guess who was number one? ..... the answer will shock you! but dont take my word for it do the research for yourself.

And do you agree with the official us government definition of terrorism? Ill post it here , to save you some time..."terrorism is definded as politically motivated violence perpetrated against non-combatant targets".
Do you also see that, depending on which side youre on, (giving or recieving), that the same act, committed by the same people, can be defined as freedom fighting or terrorism. Such as the tax stamp revolt, boston tea party, bacons fight...all these , and many more, were freedom fighters for america, but were terrorists for england.
In recent history, we still commit terrorism around the world. Such as the invation of panama, and grenada...there was no pressing need to invade, but we did and we also killed many hundreds of innocent civilians. How about when we bombed Kdaffi and killed his daughter and hundreds others? How about when we bombed the fertilizer factory in sudan, and killed thousands, and sent the country into a deep spiral down, with many thousands more dieing.
Being a realist, i can see china or someone else , making the point that america is a terrorist state and deserves to be preemtivly attacked.
Being the school yard bully only lasts so long..weve got the whole world against us, and its time to be real, and see the mess were in. We only have so many young people to throw into these senseless fights, and pretty soon they will revolt too. There are many censored, minor muninities in iraq already. If it werent for the fact that the government has the media all tied up in sensorship, and propaganda, youd hear about it. If you know anyone in iraq , or who has been there resently, and can talk without fear of retaliation, ask them about it. Youll be amazed what our government doesnt want us to know.

 

That's in lame mans terms ....... the time for waiting has come and gone ..... you say get em' first, I say get the right guys. Is that so hard to understand? All your chest pounding and "kill em' all" attitude only sheds more blood than is nessesary. I know that the war on terror must be won, I however do not say start WW 3 in the process.

The U.S wasn't rated a terrorist state in my book and thats the book that counts most to me.

I have a few friends that are over in Iraq both in the air and on the ground and I haven't heard them tell me once this is the wrong war at the wrong time.

They have told me that the majority of the people over there want them there.........
