The politics of politics has ruined the chance for us to be honorable.
Its a shame.

It is about oil......Its not all about oil, but oil plays a vital part in our national security, and oil and money are one in the same. So therefore Money plays a part in our National Security. This is something we need to understand.

I have come to the conclusion that:
There is too much evil in the world for the U.S. to stop it. We are damned if we do and damned if we don't.
We have the disadvantage of political correctness that we did not have in previous generations. (sometimes good sometimes bad)
We have the disadvantage of having our interests ($) all over the world, so whatever we do its protecting our money. This was not the case in war's previous. We were in fact establishing our interests. Now we are protecting them. Its a slippery slope.

The terrorist thing, yes I know one mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist. But there is a distinct difference between targeting civilians, and targeting military installations and hitting s. I , as you do not have the evidence, but I do not think, as do you, that we are going around straping bombs to our soldiers and sending them into a crowded dance club full of Muslims.
You cannot compare the acts of the Boston Tea Party to the acts of Fatah, Hamas, Al Queada, or any of the likes. But I see you working....
We are not offering oppression of women, oppression of civil rights, or teaching hate of other religious sects (maybe more than hate).
We might want all to believe we are bringing Democracy, Feeedom, Rights, jobs, food, and happiness, and yeah thats kind of a load of BS. But its not what the Islamic Fundamentalists are bringing to the people or EVEN trying to bring to ANYONE.

I hate the fact we are in war. I hate the fact we have the best men and women in the world dying daily. I hate that we used to be the envy of the world and now we are not.
But if we go back to after 9/11, we al were convinced that Iraq had WMD, and it sure seemed like they were going to hook up with Al Queada and send some fertalizer planes our way with Anthrax on them, remember? It was scary. I live in Utah, and it was still scary. I know you big city boys were scared.
What we did was a good job of keeping anything from getting to us, and good ol' comfort has come back. We do not remember what it was like to be scared.
Now, We are all thinking that nothing can happen. No body gave any credit to the Adminsitration for NOT ALLOWING anythng to happen, and worse, we take for granted what got us here.
Have you heard about the Fatwa that Bin Laden just recieved? He now has Allah's blessing to nuke us. Thats scary.
How do we end what we started in Iraq? When we went there it seemed like it was the right thing to do. Now the right thing to do is no where to be found. Nobody knows the right thing to do. We can't leave, we can't bomb them more...damned if do damned if we dont.


My suggestion.....Have another beer and be glad my family is safe, my friends are safe, and my 500R is ready to go this weekend!

 

Military code prohibits it's combatans from nay saying the U.S. government. So even if they wanted to voice their opinion they can't! If they do and are caught they call it mutiney,(which in times of war is punishable by death) they no longer have an opinion, they no longer own their lives, because they no longer belong to them selfs. The U.S. military now owns them. Which means the US people own them. <<<< fact>>>> and if need be the U.S. military will ask them to lay down their lifes in the name of whatever.

 

saying your willing to do the right thing and actually doing the right thing are two very different things. Just because your a {right winger} does not mean by any means that you are right! When you can make that disticntion then you may be able to see the actual side of things.
