Notre Dame
In case you didnt hear, Notre Dame fired head coach Ty Willingham mid-day yesterday in his third season as head coach. ND typically is very lenient with their head coaches and always lets them finish their first contracts. Ty's was 5 years long. He also made huge changes to the team on and off the field, most notably the offense. I was just wondering what everyone here thought about it.
Btw, Urban Meyer will almost undoubtably be in ND for next year so Florida and the other 10 Division I-A teams looking for head coaches will have to do without him.

As far a ND and Meyer go, I will have to wait and see. The pre-Holtz coach was on ESPN last night and basically advised Meyer to look at other opportunities with better potential. ND has a great legend but they do not draw recruits anymore just because they are ND. They are not a part of any conference and have freezing weather most of the year.
