What has the ATV done for you??

When i was 13, it got me out of the house and gave me something to do.. Now 10quads, 2 Dirt Bikes and countless 3-wheelers later, Its an addiction. Heck I love it so much that I even opened a store that I could sell parts for them.
On a serious note though, They have allowed me to enjoy seeing and doing things that I would have otherwise never been able to do. They are one of the best stress relievers (sp?) that I have ever had.

It gives me a reason to get out of the house and away from my wife. I purchased a plow with my quad so I can try to make some money this winter and pay for the plow. the atv will give me a way to relieve my stress and anger, but at the same time give me joy. My wife and I both got a quad so we can go out and ride together, she hasn't rode the damn thing much but hopefully she will. getting two quads was suppose to be a way for the two of us to spend some time together.

So dude.. are you helping out around the house so your wife has the opportunity to ride? Maybe she is scared of it... and needs some professional instruction. If it becomes another way to get yelled at or criticised about.. she may have reason to withdraw... Make sure it is an enjoyable experience... remember you want to share the experience... so you may need to share some of the other stuff she takes care of to make it happen.

Well................... ATVs have taught me...hmm. well growing up at the drag strip watching my dad race and going to his shop every day. BEFORE I WAS IN KINDERGARDEN i was changing the oil in the customers cars.. they havent taught me much.... but atv's have helped me lose a little weight, get laid.. it was my mom's best friend's daughter, mom got her friend to stay at our house one night and she brought her daught... we were already going out and she loved fast stuff... i took her for a ride the next day and my mom left us alone at my house.. and i wont go any further...

One thing for sure that ATV'ing has done for me is I no longer am beating up my F-350 Powerstroke, cruising around the desert. Now I beat up my ATV! It's a lot less expensive fixing stuff on it than the p/u (though to date the only problems we've had in over 1200 miles is flats).
My wife and I love to get out and cruise. We're close enough to the 'outback' here in Carson City that with only a 20 minute drive we can unload the machines and disappear for the day, covering 70-100 miles and never see the same stuff twice (except for the view of the p/u as we return )
We've met some new friends (ATV'ers, of course), and seen lots and lots of Nevada.
Oh, and it's helped us log countless new Geocaches that we otherwise would have never found (or even looked for).
Yep, a positive experience all around.

dragginbutt, it seems to me you were reading my mind while writing the things you have. i am way too far from you, but the next time your out riding, and you happen to stop for a break. tip one on me. if its a beer, enjoy. water, cool off. whatever. i will do the same.
atv'ing gave me a reason to travel, learn, experiance, and enjoy. teach my children (3 boys) and watch my wife tearing it up at an honest 6 mph, lol. ( she looks like she's doing 65 mph, but only 6 mph, lol)
family is where its at, and with my camper in tow, and the kids shaking for the times were heading to, all is right in the cosmos.
