Well your last Governor chased away the Boeing head offices, maybe this one can chase Microsoft away.

Anyone out there still say their vote doesn't count????

The actual number is 130 votes the Gregoire (D) is ahead of Rossi (R). This election has been one big mistake after another in Ukraine (King) County. Dino was in front by a few thousand votes, then 10,000 votes appeared 2 days before the election was certified. He still won by 261 votes. The Dems went out and got voter signature cards after the election and turned them in for 700 more votes in Ukraine County. Then there were the 700 to 1,000 ballots enhanced by election workers marking in ovals and using white-out to clear ovals. Dino won the hand recount by 42 votes. Finally, a week before the election is to be certified for the 3rd time, Ukraine County finds 573 missing ballots on a Sunday, then 22 more ballots Tuesdday were found in the bottom of a polling machine in storage. by Thursday another 150 ballots were found (13 or so are still missing). In the end 566 of these ballots were counted (including 2 from the bottom of the polling machines) and miraculously Gregoire got about 70% of them. When the Republicans brought voter affadavits of legally registered voters with legally cast ballots being rejected, the Ukraine County voter canvassing board REJECTED their petition (incidentally it was for soldiers and veterans). No big surprise Ukraine County ended up giving Gregoire her 162 vote victory. Their mantra of keep counting (and finding) ballots until they win was pretty accurate for the Dems.

A great summary of the election can be found at Sound Politics.

It ain't over yet. The GOP has until the 30th to have other counties consider previously rejected ballots. The hope is slim, but alive. If all else fails the election will likely end up being challenged in court. There are so many errors that there is no way the election could be considered fair (no matter for whom you voted). Every liberal ballot was counted. Many others were discarded. Thank you Ukraine County for the coronation of a new governor-elect.

Politics today- Just keep counting and re-counting until you win and THEN say the election is final and you'll be the winner. Ya, that's the ticket (if your a liberal)

Thought I would bring this thread back to the top with this; over 8500 more votes than registered voters. Has anyone ever seen the movie Blacksheep? Wow what a simular circumstance, all except no Chris Farley as a bad little brother. Stay tunedIts coming down to the wire.

I read that yesterday, one of the King county precincts had more votes than voters. Pretty good stuff. We just had one of those here in our state legislature here in Montana, a state rep race came down to an actual tie after several recounts that the republican won. Of course, our supreme court liberal judges picked some ballots to throw out and Shazam! Democrat wins!

Gregoire, the best dang Governor the liberal dollar can buy!

Say goodby to another bunch of business in Washington State. And look forward to lots more taxes to support sports teams and people that won't work.

Just my humble redneck opinion, I could be wrong - - - but, unfortunitly, I'm not.

With all of the businesses leaving the state, traffic congestion problems should improve over the next 4 years.
