You know I read my news today on usa today, and they say a barrel of crude oil may spike up to as high as 80 dollars a barrel, they are at 56 now and we are paying around 1.80 to 2.00 a gallon. Just think what itll be at 80 dollars a barrel. There reason??? EXTRA COLD WINTER's have CAUSED MORE USAGE.

Then you read another news story talking about ALL OUR GAS EMMISIONS CAUSING GLOBAL WARMING???? Im not trying to be rude, but it just aint adding up. If we are really doing the global warming thing as bad as they say, then how the he11 are we having record cold winters? Just a thought.

All I know is when you have a car (wife) truck me 60 miles aday for work, a riding mower, two atvs. weed eaters, garden tillers, chainsaws etc... filling them ol 5 gallon containers up and your truck at the same time will for sure make you start drinking natty light and buy those 10 for 10 dollar pizzas!!!!!!! instead of going out.

Well, I saw a show on Discovery about this. They said something about the melting ice caps throw off the cooling of the ocean water that cycles from the equator. This somehow throws off the jet stream which then throws off our weather patterns. Supposedly, our climate in the U.S. will actually see colder winters because of this. Europe's temps would drop even more than ours. I dunno, I was half asleep. It was interesting enough to keep me from going to sleep...almost.

Cant tell you much about the price of oil besides some are making a killing lately, but as far as global warming goes I have heard what offrodr is saying and it makes sense, but so does what I was told recently about how we as a planet are still recovering from an ice age.

hmmmmmmmm

It's been unusually warm up here in north Idaho this winter and especially in Feb. We are going to be in the mid 50's for the next week. We should be in the mid 40's. Winters overall are getting warmer with less snow up in my area.

My thoughts on global warming. These incredibly inteligent scientists have narrowed down the life of the planet earth to between 500 million and 500 billion years old. They sure have that narrowed down dont they? They have been keeping track of the temperature since the late 1890's, about 110 yrs. Does that seem like a reasonable sample size to any one here?
