tire size help.

Default tire size help.

i want to get some new tire for my 250ex but the back tire size is 22x10X9 i think well most tires say 22x11x9 so will a tire that size fit on my stock rims and can you tell me which number means what.

Yes they will fit, they will be 1 inch wider that's all, the 22= tire diameter, 11= tire width, 9= rim diameter. But if i were you i'd go with a 20/11/9, I put 20/11/9 razor's on mine and it made a good improvement in acceleration and stability. Hope this help's

how is that supposed to fit on the rim when it is 1 inch wider than the rim.

it will fit, i just changed the stock 25-8-12 and 25-11-12 with 27-10-12 and 27-12-12. Thats 2 inches wider in the front alone, on the same rims

THe tread is 1 inch wider. THink of the wheel and tire - if you look at it from behind, the wheel is always thinner than the tread, the difference is made up for as the sidewall curves in. A wider tire will be slightly shorter than the same height tire with a thinner tread because more sidewall is used curving inwards to the rim,
