I usually dont reccomend any boot that isnt a alpinestar. Their low budget boots are better than a lot of other companies high dollar boots. But it is hard to argue with a $160.00 boot with a replaceable sole insert. If thats all you can afford then i would buy them, if you can afford a little more i would look into a pair of M4's or Tech4's, by alpinestars.

I've got an old pair of Tech 7's (try and find those). I'd say if the price is right, go ahead and buy them. If they're not all what you expected, you can always get 40 bucks for them in a garage sale and get some money back. Or you could just use them as a pair of back up boots.

**Bump** -> Cause these are worth it.

I just bought a set and they seem pretty darn nice. Compared to my 15+ year old Sidi's I guess anything looks/feels/preforms better. But really these seem like decent boots. All the buckles seem totally replaceable, I am not sure how the outer soles come off ... If I ever have to do it I will have it done by a boot shop. Here is a pretty cool thread about these (the one that actually sold me on them)

Now about fit, if you are planning on buying these online check this out:

Michael,
As long as they have not been used and can be sold as new you can send them back. We do offer a no risk apparel exchange program on first exchanges if you just want to get a different size.

Kendra,

I ordered a set. What is your return/exchange policy? In case they do not fit that is.

Thank you,

Michael

Dear Michael,
I have talked with our techs about this and they suggested that the 11s may be the most comfortable. We are unable to guarantee this since you cannot try them on but that is the sizing they suggest. Please contact us if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Kendra

Normally... 10 to an 11 men's depending on brand.

I am currently wearing a USA size 11 (UK 10, or Eur 44) Red Wing brand $250 work boot. This is a steel toed boot and fits like a glove.

That help any?

Thank you for your help, I am convinced this is the boot I want I have read several great public reviews on them. It is only a matter of getting the right boot size now.

~

Michael

Dear Michael,
We need to know what size of shoe you wear to look into this further.

To whom it may concern,

I am interested in buying a set of these, however I am worried about the fit/getting the right size. What is your exchange policy? Is there some way I can accurately measure my foot and order the proper size from the outset?

Thank you,

Michael Burgess
Hope that all helps someone,

Michael
